HALIFAX, NS – Garrison Brewing has announced details of two returning beers that are available starting this week.
Hopyard APA (5.5% abv, 40 IBU) has been out of production for a while but is now back for a few months, and is described as follows:
Crafted in the Halifax Seaport using Malted Maritime Barley, Hopyard is truly East Coast. But dang, those juicy West Coast hops… Solution? A bi-coastal American Pale Ale with citrusy, floral aromas and a crisp, dry finish.
Rum Barrel-Aged Spruce Beer (11% abv, 30 IBU) is a limited edition version of Garrison’s famous winter seasonal Spruce Beer which has the following notes:
Our beloved Spruce Beer, brewed with local spruce & fir tips and Crosby’s blackstrap molasses hibernated in rum barrels with an amazingly complex and boozy result. Experience this exceptional, intense & historic brew aged in barrels from Lunenburg craft-distiller, Ironworks.
Hopyard is available now in six-packs of 341 ml bottles at Garrison and select NSLC stores, and Rum Barrel-Aged Spruce Beer will be launched today (January 12th) exclusively at the brewery, where it will be selling for $15.95 per 650 ml bottle while supplies last.
