Brickworks Cider Opening Ciderhouse & Restaurant in Toronto

TORONTO, ON – Brickworks Cider – a subsidiary of the AB InBev-owned Mill Street Brewery – has announced plans to open “the first urban ciderhouse in Canada” in Toronto’s Riverside neighbourhood.

Located in the former An Sibin Pub at the corner of Queen St. E. and Broadview Ave., Brickworks Ciderhouse will offer “Brickworks classic favourites and seasonals, alongside innovative micro-batches using rare apple varieties.”

Ten ciders including several rotating options will be available on tap, alongside six Mill Street beers. The facility will also feature space dedicated to barrel and bottle-aging, giving the makers the chance to experiment with various styles from French, Spanish, and UK cider making traditions.

The food menu will be focused on local and seasonal ingredients, including dishes made with the same apples used in the ciders. And thanks to a partnership with urban fruit harvesting initiative Not Far From The Tree, small batch ciders made with apples from the local community will be produced each autumn.

Brickworks Ciderhouse will be opening sometime in February, with more details to be announced soon on the Brickworks website.
