Stone Angel Brewing Releasing Two New Seasonals on St. Patrick’s Day

WINNIPEG, MB – Stone Angel Brewing has announced details of two new Irish-inspired seasonal beers that fittingly will be launched on St. Patrick’s Day this coming weekend.

Brennan’s Barn (5% abv, 50 IBU) is named after the locale of Inniskeen Road: July Evening by Irish poet Patrick Kavanagh. It’s described as follows:

A medium amber IPA inspired by the IPAs produced by the Irish craft beer industry. A soft pillowy head tops a citrus-flavoured body with a balanced malty taste.

Mountjoy Irish Coffee (4.5% anv, 40 IBU) is one of a series of beers that Stone Angel has been releasing in tribute to the Mountjoy Brewery, which was owned and operated during the latter half of the 19th century by Irish merchant family the Findlaters. It has the following notes:

The marriage of two quintessentially Irish drinks – the flavours of an Irish Coffee in medium bodied stout. Did you know that the Irish coffee was invented at Foynes airport in Ireland to warm up transatlantic aircrew? And was originally made with instant coffee? We coldsteeped some fine coffee beans from a local roastery to bring out the coffee flavour without the bitterness leaving a smooth coffee taste and aroma.

Both beers will be available at the Stone Angel taproom and shop on Saturday March 17th. For more details, see the full announcement.
