Stillwell Brewing Releasing Glou Farmhouse Ale This Weekend

HALIFAX, NS – Stillwell Brewing, the brewery off-shoot of Halifax craft beer bar Stillwell focused on barrel-aged and farmhouse ales, has announced details of its latest limited edition release.

Glou (6.3% abv) is described as follows:

Glou is a blend of barrel-aged saison and a sour foeder-aged beer, both brewed back in May 2017, to which we added 200g/l of New York muscat grape skins from Blomidon Estate Winery for re-fermentation in oak. Inspired by skin-contact wines, this beer is hugely aromatic, floral, woodsy & bright, with great acidity and tannic structure, and is, as we aim for all of our beers, complex yet highly drinkable

Glou will be available starting today at the bar at Stillwell. Retail sales will take place Saturday and Sunday (April 14 & 15) from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM at the Stillwell Brewing facility in the rear of Propeller Brewing on Gottingen Street. A limited number of bottles of several earlier releases will also be available at the retail shop while supplies last.
