CHILLIWACK, BC – Old Yale Brewing has announced the release of a new limited edition beer brewed in collaboration with the Abbotsford Bloom Tulip Festival.
Bloom Tulip Ale (4.5% abv) was brewed with the addition of fresh cut tulips from the Festival’s fields. Brewmaster Nick Fengler describes it as follows:
We’ve created a delightful summer ale, brewed with over 2,000 tulips as well as butterfly pea flower. It’s these fantastic floral additions that give the beer a vibrant blue colour. Adding to the uniqueness of this brew, we dry-hopped our Bloom Tulip Ale with Yellow Sub and Azacca, both relatively new varieties of hops that lend a delicious medley of fruit character.
Bloom Tulip Ale is available now in the Old Yale tasting room, and will be served each weekend (Friday to Sunday) at the Abbotsford Bloom Tulip Festival, from today until May 13th.
