Stalwart Brewing Rebrands Dr. Feelgood IPA as Snake Oil IPA for LCBO Release

CARLETON PLACE, ON – Several months after its flagship brand was rejected by the LCBO due to its name and label, Stalwart Brewing has announced that it has renamed the beer in order to get it onto store shelves.

Dr. Feelgood IPA was originally accepted for an LCBO listing, but approval was pulled at the last minute due to “regulations [that] prevent any labelling that suggests health benefits from alcohol.”

While the original name and label are still being used on cans and draught being sold out of the brewery and at licencees, it will now be known as Snake Oil IPA and will feature a newly designed label for LCBO sales. It’s expected to be available at LCBO stores next month.
