Bellwoods Brewery Releasing New Jelly King Variant & Bringing Back Cherry Farmageddon

TORONTO, ONBellwoods Brewery has announced details of two fruit-infused beers that will be released this weekend.

Jelly King Raspberry Peach is the latest fruited version of Jelly King Dry-Hopped Sour, and as the name suggests, it’s “loaded with heaps of raspberry and peach purée.”

Cherry Farmageddon is a limited edition version of Farmageddon farmhouse ale that has been aged on Niagara Montmorency cherries. It’s described as follows:

The base mixed-grain ale features German pilsner malt, oats, wheat and rye, and was fermented using a mixed culture we have been working with and evolving since 2012. After over a year in oak, we conditioned this blend on over 400g/L whole pitted cherries. Primed and bottle conditioned to a lively spritzzz, the resulting beer is a beautiful marriage of farmhouse funk, with refreshingly balanced acidity, big notes of cherry pie, baking spice, and cherry blasters.

Both beers will be released tomorrow (April 28th) and the Bellwoods retail stores on Ossington and Hafis. Cherry Farmageddon will be limited to approximately 900 bottles at each location, selling for $14 each, with a limit of 4 per person.
