Electric Bicycle Brewing Now Open in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, BC – The growing population of breweries in the fittingly named Brewery Creek area of Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood has increased by one, with the opening of Electric Bicycle Brewing.

Located in a former electric bicycle factory at 20 E 4th Avenue, the brewery has been founded by owners Elliot McKerr and Matt Ryan, along with sales and marketing manager Leigh Matkovich and head brewer Paddy Russell (ex-Spinnakers Brewpub).

Promising to deliver “an ideal combination of outrageously good beers with gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, a great atmosphere and grooving music,” Electric Bicycle opened last Friday May 4th, and is offering growlers, glasses, and flights of several beers including Smash-O-Matic Pale Ale (5.5% abv, 20 IBU), Nutha’ Mate Australian Ale (6.5% abv, 38 IBU), Mermaid Man Black Kolsch (4.9% abv, 22 IBU), Think Tank 1 Sorbet IPA (6.2% abv, 39 IBU), and It’s No Game IPA (6.5% abv, 47 IBU).
