BAYFIELD, ON – Ontario Beverage Network reports that a new farm-based brewery has opened in the community of Bayfield in Ontario’s Huron County.
River Road Brewing & Hops has been founded by Nikki and Dave Andrew, and is located on a 3-acre farm where hops and barley are being grown to use in the brewery’s beers.
River Road has had beer available on tap at several local establishments since late last year, but opened its brewery taproom and retail store for the first time this past weekend.
Beers available in the shop in 355 ml cans include core brands Blind Descent Oatmeal Stout (5.8% abv) and River Road Blonde (5.2% abv), and the limited edition Spring Blonde (5.6% abv) which was brewed with 100% locally sourced maple sap.
River Road Brewing & Hops is located at 35449 Bayfield River Road, and is open 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, and 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM on Saturday. For more details, see the brewery’s website and Facebook page.
