VANCOUVER, BC – Tap and Barrel Restaurants has announced details of its newest beer-focused establishment which will be opening soon in Vancouver’s Brewery Creek neighbourhood.
Brewhall is a brewery and restaurant located at 97 East 2nd Avenue, the former home of Steel Toad Brewpub. Originally reported to be called T&B Brewing Co., the new venture is described as follows:
Brewhall is “a collaborative craft brewery and food hall that brings the community together in one space and encourages our inner child to play and explore,” states Tap & Barrel Founder, Daniel Frankel. He adds, “it has been a dream to take our brewing collaborations to a whole new level, and to create a community hall where people can inspire and be inspired.” Whether it be for a meeting, celebration, or catch-up with friends, the space has something for everyone from its quiet section with outlets and USB plug-ins to its games area, the Beercade, with arcade favourites.
The facility features a 10-tank brewery overseen by head brewer Kerry Dyson that will “focus on collaboration beers that push the boundaries on small-batch product innovation in BC’s burgeoning beer scene.” A collaboration with Doan’s Craft Brewing is already in the tanks, and brewers from Faculty, Main St., Brassneck, 33 Acres, Red Truck, Electric Bicycle, and R&B were in the brewhouse with Dyson today to create a collaborative White IPA.
The food menu at Brewhall will feature “local ingredients and healthful options” available for both eat-in and take-out, and a selection of local wines and custom cocktails will be on the beverage menu in addition to the house-brewed beers.
Brewhall is will be opening in late June, with several Brewhall beers set to be on draught at Tap & Barrel locations in early June as a preview.
