TORONTO, ON – Henderson Brewing has announced the release of a new beer brewed in collaboration with the Society of Beer Drinking Ladies especially for Pride Month.
Picnic Point Pale Ale (4% abv) is a Session APA named in honour of the gay unity picnics that the University of Toronto Homophile Association held at Hanlan’s Point in 1970. These events served as precursors to Toronto’s first Pride Week which took place in 1974, and other LGBT+ celebrations that have led towards the modern Pride Month.
Picnic Point Pale Ale is available now on draught and in a limited run of cans at Henderson Brewing. It will also be on tap at select bars and restaurants in Toronto throughout the month of June.
