Bore City Brewing Rebrands as Grand Monk Artisan Ales

MONCTON, NB – A small Moncton brewery that launched in early 2016 out of the basement of one of its owners has announced that it has taken on a new name in conjunction with several other changes.

As reported by Atlantic Canada Beer Blog, Bore City Brewing is now known as Grand Monk Artisan Ales, and is also now brewing in a new location on a 3-barrel system, a sixfold increase in capacity over the original basement brewhouse.

The new moniker was given a soft launch at the Atlantic Beer Festival in late May, and is now officially in use on all of the brewery’s beers, including Causeway IPAMondo IPAVent d’âme Belgian Pale Ale, and Spacetime Odyssey Porter, with more new brands to follow over the summer.

Grand Monk doesn’t have a publicly accessible brewery, but its beers are available on tap at select bars throughout New Brunswick. For more details, see the brewery’s Facebook page.
