SAINT JOHN, NB – Maritimes business website Huddle reports that the Saint John location of the Gahan House brewpub chain will soon be opening a new taproom in its lower level.
The Barrel Room will located downstairs from Gahan House Port City, with an entrance on the Water Street side of the building. General Manager Ben Tsang tells Huddle that the new space will be “more of a showcase of the beer. It’s a place where you order a pint, hang around, socialize with your friends. It’s a little more casual, more beverage-focused versus the food-focus [of the upstairs restaurant and bar].”
In keeping with that theme, The Barrel Room won’t offer regular food service, but there will be a food truck parked next to the patio during the summer months.
