Kwantlen Polytechnic University Brewing Program Launches Alumni Collaboration Series

LANGLEY, BC – The Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) Brewing Program has launched a new series of limited edition beers brewed in collaboration with program alumni who are now working in the brewing industry.

The series kicked off on August 10th with the release of Salsa Piquante Wheat Ale brewed with Tom Morrison (class of 2016), who is currently brewing at Red Truck Beer.

Following on August 17th was Lemon Drop Kettle Sour, a collaboration with Ashley Brooks (class of 2016), now quality control manager at Four Winds Brewing.

As reported by the Delta Optimist, future releases in the series will include collaborations with Dan Marriette (class of 2016), head brewer at Ravens Brewing; Jonny Kostiuk (class of 2017), head brewer at Deep Cove Brewers + Distillers; and Jacquie Loehndorf (class of 2018), head brewer at Faculty Brewing.

The alumni collaborations and other KPU beers are available to purchase by the growler every Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at the KPU Brew Lab (20901 Langley Bypass, Langley). For more details, see the KPU Brewing Facebook page.
