Bandit Brewery YY* Series Continues with YY*→MAD Clementine Milkshake IPA

TORONTO, ON – Bandit Brewery has announced the release of the latest in the YY* Series of milkshake IPAs that are “inspired by some of our very favourite locales and travel destinations.”

YY*→MAD (6% abv) is a Clementine Milkshake IPA brewed as a tribute to Madrid, Spain, and described as follows:

As with every new YY* Milkshake IPA that we produce, small adjustments had to be made to accommodate each specific fruit. In this case, we had to switch the yeast to balance out some of the clementine’s tartness. Fresh clementine juice was added to the mix in the last few steps, so transfer times were also modified in order to get the full clementine flavour coming through. To enhance the beer’s aromas (it is an IPA, after all), we dry-hopped with El Dorado, adding a hint of the tropics with notes of pineapple and mango. The end result is an easy-drinking and refreshing beer with punchy sweet aromas and a light resiny character. While it’s the first of our Milkshake beers with a slight sourness, the sweetness and creaminess really come through, balancing it all out perfectly.

YY*→MAD is available now on tap and in bottles at Bandit while supplies last.
