Black Oak Brewing Launches Barrel Series With Major Oak Sour

TORONTO, ON – Black Oak Brewing has announced the first release in a new Barrel Series of limited edition barrel-aged beers, all of them featuring names “inspired by legendary trees from both history and literature.”

Major Oak Barrel Aged Sour (5% abv, 15 IBU) is described as follows:

Named after the massive oak tree which stands in the heart of Sherwood Forest that Robin Hood is said to have taken shelter inside, Major Oak was aged for 10 months in Rioja barrels, and exhibits the classic “barnyard” flavour of Brett, with pineapple-like tartness and acidity, finishing with a dry hint of oak and dark stone fruit.

Major Oak is available now in 650 ml bottles exclusively at the Black Oak retail store and online shop while supplies last.
