Winterlong Brewing and Category 12 Brewing Release Norse Code Norwegian Farmhouse Ale

WHITEHORSE, YK – Winterlong Brewing has announced the release of a new beer brewed in collaboration with Michael Kuzyk of Victoria’s Category 12 Brewing.

Norse Code (7.5% abv) is a Norwegian-style farmhouse ale brewed with Kveik yeast and locally harvested juniper branches and spruce tips. The resulting beer is described as follows:

The Kveik shines in the beer’s aroma and flavour with a light spicyness and juicy orange and apple cider character. The spruce blends nicely with the Kveik yeast flavours, while the juniper shows up as an herbal dryness towards the end of the sip.

Norse Code will make its debut this weekend at the Yukon Beer Festival, and will be available on tap at Winterlong starting next week. For more information including details on the collaboration and brewing process, see the announcement post on the Winterlong website.
