Bob’s Your Uncle Agency Releasing Been a Slice Beer to Support Second Harvest

TORONTO, ON – Advertising and creative agency Bob’s Your Uncle and food rescue charity Second Harvest have announced the release of a new beer that is intended to bring attention to the issue of food waste.

Been a Slice (4.8% abv) is an ale that “takes bread that’s approaching its best before date and transforms it into a delicious beer”.

The beer was brewed at Common Good Beer Co. using bread from Prairie Boy Bakery, with both companies contributing to the project on a pro bono basis. The release is also being supported by Outfront Media via free advertising on a number of billboards in Toronto.

The initial release of Been a Slice is limited to 500 cases of 473 ml cans that will be available at select LCBOs, Beer Stores, and bars in early November, with proceeds from all sales to go in support of Second Harvest.
