Finalists Named and Voting Open for Phillips Brewing 2019 Benefit Brew

VICTORIA, BC – Phillips Brewing has named the shortlist of nominated environmental charities for Phillips Benefit Brew 2019, and voting is now open to select which organizations will have a fundraising beer brewed in their honour.

The 10 charities in the running – 5 in British Columbia, 5 in Alberta – are as follows:

Greater Victoria Compost Education Centre
Central Westcoast Forest Society
The Community Mapping Network
Surfrider Foundation Vancouver Island
Ocean Wise

Alberta
The Leftovers Foundation
Aquarium Society of Alberta
Nature Calgary
The Weaselhead/Glenmore Park Preservation Society
The Oldman Watershed Council

Votes can be placed at benefitbrew.com from today until February 1st, and a winning charity for each province will be announced soon afterwards.

The beers be released this spring, with proceeds of up to $10,000 going to the applicable charities. In addition, the other 8 nominated charities will each receive a $500 donation.
