Celebration of Life for John Mitchell Taking Place in Vancouver This Month

VANCOUVER, BC – A celebration of the life of John Mitchell, the Canadian craft brewing pioneer who passed away on June 16th, has been announced for later this month in Vancouver.

Taking place at the Red Racer Taphouse (871 Beatty Street) on July 14th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, the afternoon will feature cask and kegs donated by breweries from across British Columbia, as well as special guests from the province’s craft beer community.

All beers will be selling for $5 per glass, with full proceeds going to the John Mitchell Scholarship which provides support to students in the Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) Brewing and Brewery Operations Diploma Program.
