Market Gallery in St. Lawrence Market Announces “Toronto Brews” Exhibition

TORONTO, ON – An exhibit looking at more than two centuries of beer and brewing culture in Toronto is set to open later this month at The Market Gallery in St. Lawrence Market.

Toronto Brews is described as follows:

Explore the rich legacy of Toronto’s brewing tradition, which began more than 200 years ago. The exhibit at Market Gallery features artifacts, artworks, archival images, and videos. Discover tiny breweries established in the early 1800s, industry growth in the Victorian Era, Prohibition, the rise of Canada’s macro-brewers, the microbrewery movement & contemporary craft-beer culture.

Running from Saturday July 13th to Saturday December 28th, 2019, Toronto Brews will also feature a variety of companion events including walking tours, Thursday beer nights, cooking with beer classes, and more.

The Market Gallery is located on the second floor of St. Lawrence Market at 95 Front St. E., and is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday to Friday, and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday.
