KELOWNA, BC – A brewery and taproom that was born when “a doctor, a teacher, and a church worker walked into a barn” is now open in Kelowna.
Barn Owl Brewing has been founded by Tim Kramer (the doctor), Steve Van Dam (the teacher), and Gary Brucker (the church worker), three friends who “share a love of craft beer and bringing people together.”
Located in a renovated barn that was originally built in the 1920s, Barn Owl opened this past weekend with a debut line-up that includes Raspberry Wheat Ale (6.3% abv), Homegrown IPA (5.4% abv), Night Owl Porter (6% abv), Amai Belgian Witbier (5.6% abv), Bohemian Red Pilsner (3.9% abv), and Lakeshore Lager (5.3% abv).
Food available on-site is limited to baked goods from next door neighbour It’s a Bakery, but customers are welcome to bring in food from local vendors and restaurants.
Barn Owl Brewing is located at 102-4629 Lakeshore Road in Kelowna, and is open seven days a week. For more details including full business hours, see the brewery’s Facebook page.
