VICTORIA, BC – Phillips Brewing has announced the release of a new seasonal brand.
Black Currant Wheat Ale (4.5% abv) is described as follows:
With big berry aromas and bold juciness complimented by a dry and crisp finish, this delicious brew will be a fantastic addition to your Thanksgiving feast. Black currants (also known as cassis) have a cabernet sauvignon-like intensity that is balanced with a strong backbone of acidity and sweetness. We added black currant juice to this lightly-hopped wheat ale during aging, and it pours a beautiful magenta colour with a dry, slightly tart finish
Black Currant Wheat Ale will be available through the fall and winter in 473 ml cans at Phillips and select liquor retailers. It is also featured in the brewery’s new Octobox Tall Can Mix Pack.
