CALGARY, AB – Eighty-Eight Brewing has announced details of a new collaboration with local bakery Pretty Sweet.
Easy Bake Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake Stout (8.5% abv) is described as follows:
Our very first imperial cake stout, modeled after Pretty Sweet’s amazing Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake, and if you haven’t had a slice of that yet, do it soon as it’s literally life-changing. Like the cake, this beer is rich, silky and over the top with flavour. Brewed with a heaping amount of oats and boiled for over 2 hrs, the sight of it coating your glass like icing even brings a tear to our grinchy brewers eyes. To finish this beer it was aged on candi sugar, vanilla beans and cocoa nibs with the perfect hint of salt. It’s big enough for Santa and all of his little helpers, and it’s so darn tasty that you can’t put it down.
Easy Bake will be launching tomorrow (December 12th) at 5:00 PM in the Eighty-Eight taproom, where it will be available on tap and in 473 ml cans. Pretty Sweet will be holding a pop-up shop from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and the first 50 customers will get a free sample of cake to pair with the beer.
