The Growler BC Releases Winter 2019 Issue & Announces Winners of 2nd Annual Readers’ Choice Awards

VANCOUVER, BC – The Winter 2019 issue of The Growler – a quarterly guide to British Columbia’s craft brewing scene – is now available, and comes with the announcement of this year’s winners of the magazine’s annual beer awards.

The new edition of the magazine – Volume 5, Issue 4 – features listings of breweries from across the province, plus the following contents:

If you’re looking to keep things low-key this holiday season, Ben Johnson has tips on how to host a party at home and not waste all your primo cellared beer. You don’t want to commit a faux pas by pouring that Russian imperial stout into a dimpled mug, so let Ted Child educate you on what glassware options are out there. A beer-related gift would probably be a good idea, and Michael Kissinger has you covered like a pair of beer-print leggings.

Also included in this issue – as well as online – is the list of winners of the 2nd annual The Growler B.C. Craft Beer Readers’ Choice Awards, aka “The Growlies”:

Close to 200 breweries around B.C. produced thousands upon thousands of different beers this year. So we gathered a panel of more than 25 professional cicerones, certified beer judges, beer writers, industry insiders and altogether massive beer nerds to whittle down the field to 10 nominees in each category. The public then had its say, voting online to determine the winners.

The Growler is available at breweries, liquor stores, newsstands, and other retailers throughout BC. It can also be purchased online individually or as part of an annual subscription, and select articles are available to read on the magazine’s website.
