PENTICTON, BC – Slackwater Brewing has announced details of a multi-venue event to celebrate Australia Day and raise funds to help those affected by the wildfires that have been devastating much of the country.
On Sunday January 26th starting at 3:00 PM, the brewery will be hosting the main event which will feature live music by Jack and Jill, Aussie-themed food including meat pies and vegemite-on-toast, a silent auction and more, with proceeds and donations going to the Victoria Bushfire Relief Fund.
In addition, four bars that serve Slackwater beers – including Gunbarrel Saloon at Apex Mountain Resort, 1609 Restaurant & Lounge at Silver Star Mountain Resort, and Brickworks Public House and Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub in Whistler – will be raising funds via food and drink sales and other promotions.
