Left Field Brewery Releases Goldpanner Smoked Black Lager

TORONTO, ON – Left Field Brewery has announced the release of a new beer inspired by one of the oldest traditions in baseball.

Goldpanner Smoked Black Lager (5.5% abv) is named after the Alaska Goldpanners, a semi-pro baseball team in Fairbanks that for the last 115 years has hosted a night game on the summer solstice that is played without artificial light thanks to the 24 hours of sunlight that the region receives that time of year.

The beer is described as follows:

Goldpanner is a dark, gently smoked lager brewed with specialty Barn Owl smoked malt and Clear Valley Ontario hops. Showing off a medium body and a mild and pleasant, toasty finish Goldpanner is a balanced dark beer perfect for a late night sandwich and a ball game.

Goldpanner is available now on tap and in 355 ml cans in the Left Field taproom, with cans also available via the brewery’s online store.
