The Establishment Brewing Company Releases 9 to 5 Brut IPA with Hibiscus

CALGARY, AB – The Establishment Brewing Company has announced the release of a new beer that was brewed by the women of brewery on International Women’s Day earlier this month.

9 to 5 (6.4% abv) is a Brut IPA made with hibiscus, and described as follows:

The Brut IPA style is trying to emulate the experience of drinking a bubbly. Extremely dry, effervescent, crystal clear, fruity from hops, but not bitter. We thought it would be fun to play with hibiscus flowers (sourced from Tea Trader) with this style. A flower that adds berry notes, creates a delicate pink hue, and a touch of tannin. Hops play a role in this beer adding to the fruity floral notes, but we held back big time on the bitterness, and let the light tannins from the hibiscus flowers help further dry out the already crisp finish of this beer.

9 to 5 is available now in 473 ml cans at the Establishment retail shop and online store, and soon at select liquor stores in Alberta. Proceeds will go to the Pink Boots Society to fund programs and scholarships for women in the brewing industry.
