Something In The Water Brewing Debuts with Lee River Blackberry Vanilla Sour

TORONTO, ON – A new contract brewing company offering “curiously sour beers with just a hint of sweetness” has announced the release of its first beer.

Something In The Water Brewing has been founded by Steve Waugh, a former advertising executive who developed a love for sour beers via several years of homebrewing and receiving a Prud’homme certification.

Currently producing out of the Syndicate Brewing facility in Niagara Falls, Waugh is launching his brand with Lee River Blackberry Vanilla Sour (4.9% abv), which is brewed using real blackberries and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla pods, and is described as follows:

The smack of blackberry tartness meets the creamy sweetness of vanilla in Lee River Blackberry Vanilla sour. A curiously balanced and refreshing beer. Despite being a sour, the low IBUs means it’s not offensive like the IPA you can still taste from last night. The sweet sourness of this beer makes it drink more like a rosé than an ale. It’s perfect for those that are new-to-sours. Or even, new-to-beer.

Lee River Blackberry Vanilla Sour is available now for home delivery orders via PourON Brands. It will also be available soon at select grocery stores and LCBO locations in Ontario. For more details, see the Something In The Water website and Facebook page.
