Manitoba Taprooms and Brewpubs Allowed to Reopen Today

WINNIPEG, MB – With the second phase of Manitoba’s COVID-19 economic relaunch going into effect today (June 1st), breweries in the province are now allowed to reopen their taprooms to the public, albeit with a number of restrictions in place.

As per the Government of Manitoba‘s “Restoring Safe Services” plan, all restaurants, bars, breweries, brewpubs and distilleries can allow customers to order and consume food and drink onsite for the first time since the pandemic lockdown went into effect.

Food and drink establishments that choose to reopen will have to adhere to a list of regulations including limiting occupancy in indoor and patio spaces to 50 per cent of legal capacity, having at least 2 metres of distance between tables, and ensuring that other physical distancing and hygiene guidelines are put into place.

For more details on specific reopening plans, Manitoba-based readers are advised to check with their local breweries and brewpubs.
