HALIFAX, NS – Good Robot Brewing has announced the release of a new beer inspired by a couple of their favourite strains of cannabis.
Purple Haze (5.9% abv) is described as follows:
Purple Haze is a classic GoRo pale ale, but what makes it unique is that rather than the usual amount of hops, we “seasoned” it with terpenes! Terpenes are the molecules that make the aromas in many plants, including our two favourites: cannabis and hops. For this beer, we used terpenes like those found in Purple Haze and Grandaddy Purp, two fantastic cannabis strains that are typically pulled off the shelf to treat pain, stress, insomnia, appetite loss, and muscle spasms. The bad news is this beer won’t technically help you with any of that stuff, but the good news is that it’s legal and you don’t need a prescription.
