VICTORIA, BC & MONTREAL, QC – A book focused on the craft beer brewing industry in Alberta, and another featuring beer recipes and interviews with national and international brewers, have been named this year’s best beer books in Canada by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
Tapping the West: How Alberta’s Craft Beer Industry Bubbled out of an Economy Gone Flat by Scott Messenger, published earlier this year by TouchWood Editions, has been recognized as the Best English Beer Book in Canada; and Recettes De Bières & Industrie Brassicole 2019, an anthology publication released late last year by culture and design website Baron Mag, has been given the equivalent French award.
Both books will be in the running for Best Beer Book in the Gourmand Best in World 2021 competition, with results to be announced in May 2021.
