Shillow Beer Co. Opening in Ottawa in 2021

OTTAWA, ON – Six years after launching as a contract breweryShillow Beer Co. has announced plans to open its own bricks-and-mortar location next year in Ottawa.

Founded by brewmaster Jamie Shillow and her husband & company president Ben Shillow, the label was launched when the couple lived in Toronto, and has continued after their relocation to Ottawa, with brands including Bitter Waitress Black IPA, Beer Snob Belgian Rye Ale, and Bandwagon Raspberry Pale Ale available via LCBO, grocery stores, and licensees in Ontario.

Currently brewing out of Junction Craft Brewing in Toronto, the Shillows are now setting up shop in a 3800-square-foot facility at 1458 Cyrville Road in Ottawa’s east end. In addition to the brewhouse, the space will launch with a retail shop that will have COVID-19 protocols in place if still required at the time. Home delivery and Ontario-wide shipping will also be offered, and an on-site taproom will follow sometime after opening.

“We are beyond excited to be finally opening our own facility,” says Jamie Shillow in the announcement. “I’ve been designing and testing several new beer recipes and can’t wait to start brewing on my own system.”

The Shillow Beer Co. brewery and retail shop is expected to open in Spring 2021. For more details, see the brewery’s website and social media pages.
