Highway 97 Brewery Relocating to Downtown Penticton

PENTICTON, BCHighway 97 Brewery has announced that four years after opening along its namesake highway in the former Tin Whistle Brewing facility, it will soon be relocating to a more central and much larger location in downtown Penticton.

As reported by Kelowna Now, the brewery has received final approval by the City to move into the former Mile Zero Wine Bar and an adjacent storefront at 200 & 202 Ellis Street, right across the street from Cannery Brewing and within a few blocks of Slackwater Brewing, Neighbourhood Brewing, and Bad Tattoo Brewing.

The 6,000-square-foot space will allow Highway 97 to expand its brewing capacity up to four times its current output, and will have a tasting room and patio that can accommodate up to 132 customers, up from just 36 at the original location.

The new taproom will feature 22 taps including wine and cider options, and a larger food menu which will be developed by a new food and beverage manager.

The new Highway 97 Brewery is expected to open in early summer 2021. For more details, watch the brewery’s website and social media feeds.
