CHILLIWACK, BC – Bricklayer Brewing has announced the release of “the perfect ‘it’s-spring-but-we-can’t-f***ing-wait-for-summer’ beer”.
Lovely Day Ginger Golden Ale (5% abv) is described as follows:
This beer is a recreation of something I drank over ten years ago, on the sunny patio of my old East Vancouver apartment. It was an early April day, but the first truly sunny and warm day of the year. My old roommate Jenny was there, along with my mom, aunt and cousin who had all driven into the city for a visit. Sunglasses on, down to just t-shirts, lots of laughing. And we were drinking a really bright and light and zingy Ginger Beer that was so damn good and (in my memory) suited the moment perfectly.
Amazing how that perfect sunny day made me remember this beer so many years later. So here it is, our recreation of that amazing beer: Lovely Day Ginger Golden Ale. And of course, Lovely Day by Bill Withers is a highly appropriate song to blast while drinking this beer – especially if it’s a not-so-sunny April day that needs a bit of love.
Lovely Day is available now at Bricklayer where it’s pouring on tap for patio service, and in crowlers and growlers to go.
