Slake Brewing Releases Embers Pale Ale and Twist Hoppy Lager

PICTON, ON – Slake Brewing has announced the release of two new beers.

Embers Pale Ale (4.9% abv):

Embers has a real Five Alive flavour with a tangy finish. Very easy drinking! Brewed with 100% Ontario Malt.

Now I don’t want to totally nerd out here about what hops we used. But if for some reason you were curious, if, for any reason at all, you cared about what hops we used, I will tell you that we dry-hopped it with a lot of Nelson Sauvin (one of our favourites) from New Zealand.

Now let’s move on, just drink the beer. It’s delicious.

Twist Hoppy Lager (4.8% abv):

Twist was dry-hopped with Tango, a brand new fruity German hop. We’re excited to be one of the first in Canada to use it.

The beer is very zesty, citrusy, quenchable and refreshing. It finishes a bit drier than our pilsners and is dry-hopped at the same high rate as our Pale Ales. If I allow myself to think forward to days of friends and family and hugging and singing and drinking on patios, well this is the beer for that kind of day.

Like all our beers, it’s brewed with 100% Ontario Malt.

Embers and Twist are both available now at the Slake retail store and online shop.
