Great Lakes Brewery Brings Back Empowered NEPA for The Jean Augustine Centre

TORONTO, ON – Great Lakes Brewery has announced the return of a beer brewed to support a worthy local community organization.

Empowered (4.6% abv) is a New England style Pale Ale described as follows:

It pours hazy golden yellow in colour with a tight white crown. Aromas of tropical fruits (slight pineapple and mango) alongside some grapefruit, peach, and pear, with a touch of floral notes. Light to medium bodied with a delicate bitterness, Empowered NE Pale Ale offers subtle notes of fresh peach, mango, grape and a hint of watermelon.

$1 from each can of Empowered purchased will be donated directly to the Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment, an organization that “offers a holistic approach to empowerment by providing programs that support the mental, physical and social wellbeing of girls & young women.”

In addition, all orders made through the GLB online shop for the month of May will include an option to add a donation for the Centre.

Empowered is available now at the GLB retail store, with online sales sales starting at 4:00 PM today (May 6th).
