Blindman Brewing Brings Back May Long Double IPA

LACOMBE, AB – Blindman Brewing has announced the return of a limited edition beer to celebrate the upcoming Victoria Day long weekend.

May Long Double IPA (8.8% abv) is described as follows:

Last May, we found ourselves with a hole in our release schedule. At the very last minute, we decided to make a big Double IPA to release for the May Long weekend. It was ambitious and the timeline was very tight. It took us 21 days from this idea to launch the beer into the world. And 10 more days until it was all gone. We loved it. People went crazy for it. It was a true last-minute craft beer success story (we brewers are notorious for our procrastination…).

We loved making that beer and earmarked 2021 to do it again. This time with a bit more preparation. We are pleased to welcome back May Long Double IPA for the second time. Still clocking in at a gloriously smooth 8.8%. We added all the hops we could – 22 grams of goodness per liter of beer to be exact – to recreate the tropical juice and pine bomb that went over so well last year. Why mess with a good thing?

May Long is available now at the Blindman taproom & online shop and at select beer retailers in Alberta. Each can features a QR code that can be scanned to visit Blindman’s new traceability website where “beer drinkers can see the journey of their beer, right from the barley grower through the maltster and through our brewery.”
