Banded Peak Brewing Releases Class 5 Double IPA and Class 5 Dry Hopped Sour

CALGARY, AB – Banded Peak Brewing has announced the release of two new beers to mark its 5th anniversary.

Class 5 DIPA (8.6%):

A heavily-hopped but highly drinkable imperial ale. We triple dosed the fermentor with a whopping 50kgs of Galaxy, Talus and Sabro that combine to exhibit bold coconut and nectarine aromatics, followed up with a complex, ester-rich blend of ripe tropical, sweet stone and juicy citrus fruit characteristics.

Class 5 Dry Hopped Sour (4.5%):

Our tartest release to date is a sessionable, summery beer hopped like a modern IPA. Showcasing locally sourced premium Alberta grains, a sizeable lactose boil addition rounds out the mouth-watering acidity of this brew; allowing Calypso, Sabro and lupulin-enhanced Citra to provide zesty, bright, margarita-like notes of lime, lemon and grapefruit.

The Class 5 beers are available now in a mixed 4-pack at the Banded Peak retail store and liquor stores across Alberta.
