Sawdust City Brewing Releases Limberlost Blonde & Bruin Wild Ales

GRAVENHURST, ON – Sawdust City Brewing has announced the release of this year’s edition – or more accurately, editions – in its annual series of ales brewed using a wild yeast strain foraged in the Limberlost Forest near the brewery.

Limberlost Bruin (6.5% abv):

A blend of brown ales inspired by beer from the Bière De Garde farmhouse style of Northern France. A portion of the beer was aged in puncheons with a unique spontaneous yeast strain, while the other portion was fermented in stainless with our house ale strain. More approachable than in years past, with a malt-forward body, a touch of barnyard funk and a slightly tart finish. It’s a deceptively deep and contemplative beer, with its many layers revealing themselves on each sip.

Limberlost Blonde (7.2% abv):

This version of Limberlost is a blend of two separate blonde beers. The first was fermented in an oak puncheon with our unique Limberlost wild yeast strain. The second was fermented in one our stainless steel vessels with our house Belgian ale yeast strain. Once blended together, we added some fresh lemon zest for an added citrus zing. Tart, citrusy and very effervescent, this is the perfect summer sipper.

Both beers are available now at the Sawdust City retail shop and online store.
