Tin Whistle Brewing Releases Queen of Tart Prickly Pear Cactus Sour for Osoyoos Desert Centre

PENTICTON, BC – Tin Whistle Brewing has announced the release of a new beer in support of protecting “Canada’s Pocket Desert”.

Queen of Tart Prickly Pear Sour was made using more than 250 lbs. of the prickly pear cactus fruit, and is described as “rosy red, tart but not lip-puckeringly sour, and very fruity.”

5 cents from every can of Queen of Tart will be donated to the Osoyoos Desert Centre, an organization dedicated to the “conservation and restoration of one of Canada’s most rare, fragile and endangered ecosystems. This semi-arid, antelope-brush ecosystem, located in the South Okanagan, is home to one of the highest concentrations of rare and at-risk species in Canada.”

Queen of Tart is available now at the Tin Whistle retail store, and select bars, restaurants, and beer retailers in the Okanagan region.
