ORO-MEDONTE, ON – Quayle’s Brewery has announced the release of a new beer brewed with a distinctive local ingredient.
Field Trip Pineapple Weed Saison (5% abv):
Pineapples that grow in Ontario you say? Not quite… Pineapple Weed is also known as Wild Chamomile – one might be more familiar with Chamomile for herbal teas. Our brew crew foraged the local area gathering bags and bags of pineapple weed to make this fruity saison. They labouriously trimmed and rinsed the chamomile before blending it in the brew. The result is a beer with notes of candied pineapple, cloves and of course chamomile!
