Avling Brewery Releases Selene Smoked Lavender Sour for Downie Wenjack Fund

TORONTO, ON – Avling Brewery has announced the return of a unique seasonal beer, with this year’s edition supporting an important cause.

Selene Smoked Lavender Sour (3.4% abv):

Inspired by ancient styles in the North of Germany, Selene is a beautiful fusion of floral and lightly smoked notes, with an amazingly refreshing acidity. Ontario Malt was hand-smoked in house by our brewing team, using a combination of local applewood, and lavender from our roof. Additional lavender from Toronto gardens was used late in the process to create the elegant aroma that dominates this beer.

Selene is available now at the Avling retail store and online shop. A portion of proceeds will be donated to The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF), an organization that “aims to build cultural understanding and create a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.”

For more details about the beer and the DWF, see the full announcement on the Avling website.
