The Growler BC Fall/Winter 2021 Issue Now Available

VANCOUVER, BC – The Fall/Winter 2021 issue of The Growler, a publication subtitled the “B.C. Craft Beer & Cider Guide”, is now available.

Contents of the new issue include the recently announced results of the 2021 B.C. Craft Beer & Cider Readers’ Choice Awards, plus:

Our past editor Rob Mangelsdorf takes a tongue-in-cheek look at Snakebite (a lager/cider hybrid), then takes a deep dive into kveik, the Norwegian farmhouse yeast that’s taking the industry by storm. Following up on his article about farm-based breweries in our last issue, Matt Cavers returns with a look at B.C.’s unique crop of farm-based cideries. Noëlle Phillips suggests we all check out White Rock’s burgeoning beer scene.

Joe Wiebe had the pleasure of taste testing a delicious fall-themed squash dip at the Drake Eatery—we’ve reprinted Chef Chris Klassen’s recipe if you want to recreate it at home. He also enjoyed chatting with Ken Beattie, Executive Director of BC’s Craft Brewers Guild, about what the post-COVID future might hold for breweries and consumers.

The Growler Volume 7 Issue 2 is available now at breweries, cideries, liquor stores, taprooms, and other retail locations throughout British Columbia. It can also be purchased online individually or as part of an annual subscription, and select articles will be available to read on the magazine’s website.
