Folly Brewpub Holding Grand Reopening This Weekend in Toronto

TORONTO, ON – A month after reopening its renovated space under new ownership, Folly Brewpub has announced that it will be making it official with a celebration this weekend.

Folly started life in 2015 as a nanobrewery installed in Habits Gastropub by owners Michelle Genttner and Luís Martins. The name change to Folly took place later that year, along with a stronger focus on the brewery.

In 2018, Genttner and Martins sold the brewery and restaurant to the partners behind Entertainment District bars Roxy on King and Watson’s, and ownership changed once again earlier this year to the company that also owns Grace O’Malley’s Pub.

With the new ownership has also come a shift in focus for the brewing program. Previously based primarily around saisons and farmhouse ales, the core line-up now features beers such as Rice Lager (5% abv), Pale Ale (5.3% abv), Kolsch (4.8% abv), and IPA (6.5% abv).

The event marking the changes will take place tomorrow (Saturday October 23rd) starting at 5:00 PM, and will feature beer samples and hors d’oeuvres. The full food and drink menu will also be available for ordering.

Folly Brewpub is located at 928 College St. in Toronto, and is open from 11:00 AM daily, closing at 12:00 midnight on Sunday to Thursday, and 2:00 AM Friday and Saturday. For more details, see the Folly website and Instagram page.
