OTTAWA, ON – Spark Beer has announced the release of two new limited edition beers.
Octavie Belgian Quad (9.6% abv):
This is the first release in our Grandmothers series of Belgian Beers named after the women in our families. We released a preview of this beer back in February and now it’s finally ready to return after 8 months maturing in the bottle. Notes of figs, plums and dark molasses drift into a soft, embracing alcohol warmth. Andrea’s Belgian Grandma Octavie would have approved!
Voices Carry Pinot Noir Sour (6% abv):
We are huge fans of KIN Vineyards here at Spark as we share a common love of fun, interesting, and well made fermented beverages. Spark + KIN Voices Carry Pinot Noir is our Voices Carry sour beer aged on KIN Vineyards’ 2021 Carp Ridge pinot noir must. Organic, biodynamic, and local, KIN’s grapes add subtle complexity to this bottle conditioned sour beer. A subtle yeasty sourdough along with a firm acid backbone blend perfectly with the burst of bright raspberry from the pinot.
