Blindman Brewing Releases Exquisite Corpse Blended Ale and Elijah Craig Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout

LACOMBE, AB – Blindman Brewing has announced the release of two new small batch ales.

Exquisite Corpse (5.9% abv):

From our Bières de Coupage series, this bottle is a blend of a red wine barrel-aged gose and a saison we brewed for our 2022 Women’s Day beer (look out for that in March). The saison provides a funky base that hangs out well with the lactic and oak-y gose and makes a complex and lovely quaff. We teamed up with our friends at Latitude 53 that brought the efforts of 3 artists together to design the ‘Exquisite Corpse‘ on the label.

Elijah Craig Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout (11.6% abv):

Maybe our favourite annual release is our Ichorous Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels. Every year we source barrels that were filled with a different delicious bourbon, fill them with Ichorous, and release the cans in late fall/early winter. For our 6th version we got our excited hands on some Elijah Craig barrels, filled them, and aged the beer for 201 days. Honeycomb, wildflower and cedar come along for the ride with the classic bourbon and vanilla barrel notes, complimenting the rich cocoa, coffee and dark fruit notes of Ichorous.

Both beers are available now at the Blindman taproom and at select beer retailers in Alberta.
