Parsons Brewing Releases 2021 Vintage of Sunkissed Grape Ale

PICTON, ON – Parsons Brewing has announced this year’s edition of a beer-wine hybrid made using grapes from the brewery’s own vineyard.

Sunkissed Grape Ale (7.5% abv):

To our knowledge, we are the only farm brewery in Canada that grows our own grapes. Our small vineyard, planted in 2000, consists of 500 vines of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The fruit is grown and hand picked by us (and a few friends) under the master guidance of Catherine and Edgar Ramirez from Pleasant Valley Hops Ontario.

Sunkissed  is cloudy by nature with a tart open, a subtle juiciness & lingering hints of crisp orchard fruit. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape juice is blended with a golden ale and fermented together with Saison yeast and copious amounts of Pinot Noir skins, contributing a subtle wine-like profile and a slight pinkish hue. The result is something very unique – a highly effervescent hybrid that is 30% wine and 70% beer.

The 2021 vintage of Sunkissed Grape Ale is available now at the Parsons brewery store and online shop while supplies last.
