Dominion City Brewing and Wellington Brewery Release Brave Noise Pale Ale

OTTAWA & GUELPH, ONDominion City Brewing and Wellington Brewery have both announced their participation in an international brewing collaboration that aims to “create a safe and discrimination-free beer industry, especially for women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ individuals, through inclusive environments and transparent policies.”

Brave Noise Pale Ale (4.5% abv) has been spearheaded by Brienne Allan, a former employee of Notch Brewing who triggered a #MeToo-style reckoning earlier this year when she opened up her Instragram account to stories of harassment and discrimination experienced by those in the craft beer industry.

Brave Noise is being brewed by more than 175 breweries around the world, with each brewery – including Dominion City and Wellington – including a QR code on the label that links to their Statement of Values or Code of Conduct, and donating the proceeds to an organization that supports the mission of the collaboration.

Dominion City brewed its beer with the help of Ren Navarro of Beer. Diversity., and will be donating to Harmony House, Ottawa’s only transitional women’s shelter; while Wellington has named Guelph Wellington Women-In-Crisis as its partner charity.

Dominion City’s and Wellington’s respective releases of Brave Noise Pale Ale are available at each brewery’s retail store and online shop while supplies last.
