FERNIE, BC – Fernie Brewing has announced the release of the latest limited edition beer from its barrel-aging program.
Barrel Aged Stout (9.2% abv):
The latest release from our Barrel Aged series is a strong, decadent Stout, aged for 7 months in French Oak Red Wine barrels. Just in time for the holidays, this brew teems with notes of chocolate, toffee, and dried fruit, with oak character peeking through hints of red wine. Dark and robust, this Stout is brewed with six specialty malts including Pale Chocolate, Blackprinz and Maris Otter. A slight addition of Fuggle hop and East Kent Goldings brings a mild floral aroma, balancing this strong barrel brew.
Barrel Aged Stout is available now at the Fernie Brewing retail store and online shop, and is being distributed to select beer retailers in British Columbia and Alberta in limited quantities.
